Other charges on city water bills include a $15.70 meter charge plus 33 cents per every 100,000 gallons of water that is used or .0033 per gallon.

In Vernonia, residents pay $100 a month for water and sewer plus a $2 park fee that makes the total $102 per month.

St. Helens residents pay a flat fee of $73.34 per month plus $2.87 per 100 cubic feet of water. That translates to .0038 cents per gallon. According to St. Helens City Manager Chad Olsen Boise Inc. does not subsidize city water or sewer rates…
