Property managers, landlords and water companies or utilities consider two resources their most precious:

  1. Money
  2. Water

Without secure cash flows and water supplies, their businesses will be under water almost instantaneously.

Because 95% of landlords and property managers pay their tenants’ water bills, it’s natural that they’re interested in where they can most effectively manage and secure the water supply, so as to reduce monthly or bi-monthly outlays as well as those shock high water bills that come when they least expect them.

And landlords and property managers have to deal with the all-too-common problem of an uncaring tenancy, which puts them in the position of contriving a means to motivate tenants to report issues, such as running toilets.

It’s a known fact that a third of all in-building water consumption passes throught the toilet.  It’s lesser known that 90% of all high water bills are due to running or leaking toilet fixtures.  And even lesser known is the fact that 10% of all in-building water consumption is due to the single largest culprit of water waste, namely, the toilet.  To put it another way, 13% or 14% of all in-building water consumption is due to leakage, such as frail faucets and faulty flappers, and 90% of all in-building water leakage is attributed to toilets.

Naturally, it behooves landlords and property managers to install water efficient technologies, particularly with respect to the toilet.  But given the fact that toilets run no matter how efficient they are, barring the installation of a leak free, flapper-less toilet from Niagara, landlords and property managers need to secure their water supplies with a system that works by communicating the problem immediately, so that they can deal with it before they receive the exorbitant water bill weeks later.

Because the main problem with submetering water systems is the cost of installation, we at LeakBird Industries have developed a system that landlords and property managers can use to secure their tenants’ water supplies, which require a low-cost of installation and ease of installation.
